You must attend the MANDATORY orientation December 22, 2026 from 6-10PM in room L210.

- $30.00 payable to the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services for processing your certification application.
- $50 payable to the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services for their background check.
- Approximately $100.00 for student uniforms to be worn during class, labs, clinical and field experiences.

If you do not currently hold CPR certification with the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross CPR for Health Care Providers a certification course will be held first day of class and you will need to bring $25 for the certification. If you currently hold one of these two certifications and they will be valid through the end of the course the card must be provided to the instructor by the first class . This certification must be valid for the duration of the course.
