Please read:  To enroll in this Section 2 Expanded Functions course, you must meet at least one of the following critieria: Be a graduate of an ADA-accredited dental assistant program; hold a current DANB Certification; OR have at least three months of clinical practice as a registered dental assistant; OR have at least three months of clinical practice as a dental assistant in a state that does not require registration. This course is entirely self-study, giving you the flexibility to complete assigned readings. evaluation measures, and clinical skills on your own schedule. All components must be finished within one year of your registration date. Hands-on clinical skills must be perormed at your place of employment. Both the learner and the employer/supervising dentist must co-sign the competency verification forms upcon successful completion of the tasks. A comprehensive post-test is required at the end of the course. You must achieve a score of 75% or higher on the post-test to pass and earn your CEUs.
