How do I register and pay for a class?
There are several ways to register and pay for Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) Business and Community Solutions classes, including online, phone or fax. Acceptable payment includes Visa®, MasterCard®, or Discover®. If you choose to pay in person or by mail you may also pay by cash or check.

How do I register for a Certificate or Professional Series?
Many classes are being offered in a bundle as a Certificate or Professional Series. Each one may be set up slightly different. Some may require you to register for all options at one time, while others will allow you to register one at a time. For more information, contact NICC Business and Community Solutions. How do I create my profile?
To utilize on-line registration, view your profile and classes, first-time users must click Create New Student Profile. This will create your own username, password and profile. For assistance or questions please contact Business and Community Solutions.
Is there a minimum age for students to take NICC Business and Community Solutions courses?
Generally, students age 17 or older are permitted to register for adult Business and Community Solutions courses according to standard enrollment procedures. Students under the age of 17 may enroll at the discretion of the Program Manager and/or class instructor. For more information please contact NICC Business and Community Solutions.
Can I purchase gift certificates for classes?
Gift certificates are available for purchase online for a dollar amount that can be applied to a class of the recipient’s choice. For more information please contact NICC Business and Community Solutions.
Can my employer pay for my course?
We can bill an organization or agency for NICC Business and Community Solutions class charges. To do so, we must receive verification in writing from that party, indicating which of your charges (tuition, fees, books, etc.) they are willing to pay. Any charges not covered by the Third Party Contract are your responsibility. For more information please contact Business and Community Solutions.
Can I cancel my registration in a class?
To withdraw your registration before a class starts you must call:

What is the refund policy?
If a class is canceled by NICC, a full refund will be issued. No refund will be given if the participant cancels 5 business days or less prior to class start date. Note that some fees are not refundable.
How do I print a receipt?
To print a receipt for classes that begin after January 1, 2011, just sign in and select My Transactions then locate your class. Under Action, select Print View, then print your receipt. For receipts prior to January 1, 2011, please contact an NICC Business and Community Solutions team member.
How do I print a transcript?
To print a current transcript of classes after January 1, 2011, just sign in and select My Transcript from the menu bar on the left side of your screen. In the upper left corner of the export link, select the format you would like and print. For transcripts prior to January 1, 2011 or If you need an official transcript, please contact an NICC Business and Community Solutions team member.
Where can I get directions to my class location?
Directions to your class location are found in the confirmation letter sent prior to your class start date. You can also find directions by clicking Class Registrations on left side of page.
Your instructor will share the inclement weather policy with you during the first class. If the location of your class is closed, your class is canceled. Inclement weather class information will be communicated via local radio and television stations or you may call Northeast Iowa Community College or visit www.nicc.edu. .
When is a course canceled?
NICC Business and Community Solutions makes every effort to maintain the schedule of classes as announced in our catalog. However, we reserve the right to cancel classes, change instructors, switch rooms, and combine classes when necessary without previous announcement. If this occurs, you will receive a refund if you do not transfer to a different class section. For more information please contact Business and Community Solutions.
Can I register for a class that is full?
Some classes have a maximum class size and for specific reasons, that maximum number must be adhered to. For example, a computer course is limited in size by the number of computers available in that classroom. If you wish to be considered for registration in a class that is currently full, you can request to be added to a waiting list by signing in online and clicking Add Me to the Waiting List next to the class that is full. If an opening becomes available, a Business and Community Solutions team member will contact you to finalize your registration. .
How do I update my profile?
You may edit or update your student profile at any time. After signing in, access the link entitled My Profile to change any of the information. Click Edit at the bottom of the page. You may then edit any of your profile fields. When you are finished with your edits, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit.
