Northeast Iowa Community College
"Providing Personal and Professional Opportunities that Impact Lives"
Turn your passion into opportunity.

Use your experience and skills to teach others.

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) offers programs for individuals who want to explore new educational areas, and develop their professional and personal skills. Every effort is made to create an environment that is enriching and enhances the learning experience.

NICC develops and administers coursework that includes workshops, licensure and re-licensure classes, skills upgrading and leisure time offerings throughout the year. Programs vary in length and time and are added as needs and interests are identified. NICC welcomes and encourages inquiries and suggestions from community members regarding planning of classes and programs. If you have a new course idea, or have a friend/associate who would like to teach contact NICC to explore the possibility of offering the class.

The participants of NICC classes include employees of business, industry and non-profit organizations, professionals and anyone in the community wishing self improvement or leisure time enjoyment and learning. Classes are held on NICC Campuses, NICC Centers and throughout the district.

For general scheduling purposes the time frames are: Fall: Late August to mid-January and Winter/Spring: January-August.

The fees for NICC classes vary according to number of class hours, facilitator costs and materials. Every effort is made to keep fees affordable. It is NICC’s policy to reimburse instructors after class completion.

NICC has a variety of methods to market your classes. The biggest emphasis is our NICC catalog. The catalog is distributed to area households prior to the beginning of class. Flyers/postcards or emails may be created and directed to a specific audience. Learners have a variety of options available to register for our classes: by phone, by mail, by fax, in-person, and on-line.
