The Nurse Aide Knowledge Exam is the computer-based portion of the CNA State Exam process. The test is multiple choice, competency based, and you have up to two hours to complete. A score of 70% or greater is required to be successful and to be eligible for the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry. Registry placement in Iowa also requires a 70% or greater on the CNA State Skills Exam. Both tests are required and taken separately. Accommodations for any disabilities must be requested at the time of registration, and a process must be followed.
