This online 55-hour class fulfills the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) requirements to apply for a coaching license, which is required to be legally employed as a coach of any interscholastic athletic activity in Iowa K-12 schools.  Topics addressed in this online class include coaching theory, ethics and legal responsibilities, human growth and development, structure and function of the human body, and prevention and care of injuries. In addition to completing this course, the state of Iowa requires participants to obtain a Concussion Training certificate and CPR Training certificate before applying for their official coaching license.
