Embark on a creative journey and learn the beautiful art of hand embroidery. We will cover all the basics, starting with different types of embroidery (accompanied by samples), the types of supplies needed for beginners (and where to obtain them), online resources for beginners, and hands-on practice on the first night. From threading your needle to securing fabric in a hoop to reading and following a pattern, you will learn several fundamental and easy-to-master stitches. You will complete a small embroidery project during class, allowing you to practice your new skills on a tangible piece immediately. All supplies will be provided for the class (needles, embroidery flosses, hoop, scissors, practice fabric, and easy pattern samples). Bring your desire to try a creative and relaxing hobby, and be willing to fail a little and succeed a lot. Ask questions and get answers in a fun and non-threatening environment.
