This class, based on American Heart Association guidelines, focuses on one-person adult, child, and infant CPR, use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED), and choking. Students also learn emergency first aid procedures for use in the case of accidents or sudden illness. The class is appropriate for those who work with children and teens, including daycare providers, coaches, scout leaders, athletic trainers, camp counselors, and others. Certification is good for two years.
