Completion of this certification also meets the prerequisite requirement for the NICC Peosta Career Pathway Certificate: Welding (GMAW) Competency-Based class.
The Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) program for General Industry provides training for entry-level workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. Students who successfully complete the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course receive a wallet card from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI).
You may register at any time for this self-paced class and are allowed 6-months to complete. Within 2 business days after registration, NICC will email the student login instructions to access their online class.
