CNA Testing - Knowledge (Oelwein)

The CNA knowledge exam is computer-based. Accommodations for any disabilities must be requested at the time of registration and a process must be followed. To be placed on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry, students must achieve a minimum of 70% on BOTH the written and skills competency exams. Candidates have up to three attempts for the exam. If unsuccessful in those three attempts, they must re-take the 76-Hour CNA class prior to further testing.

Notice

Please read:  This computerized exam is proctored on the Oelwein campus. Testing candidates should arrive 15 minutes early for this exam to allow time for parking and check-in. All testing candidates must bring a current photo ID (ex. driver's license, student photo ID, or passport) as well as have their full social security number memorized. Students are eligible to take both the Skills and Knowledge Exams on the same day, provided seats are available. Testing times are subject to change, and any changes will be communicated.
