This 4-hour class covers Article 690 of the NEC in detail including: definitions of various PV systems, circuits, and components; requirements for circuit identification, routing, and ground-fault protection; voltage and current calculations; conductor sizing and overcurrent protection; disconnects and labeling; wiring methods; connections and interconnections; grounding; identification and connection to other power sources; and energy storage systems. Also covered are requirements from the International Fire Code (IFC). This class meets Iowa Electrical Examining Board (IEEB), MN Electrical Board and WI Electrical Board requirements for 4 hours of code continuing education. Additional CEUs may be earned in other classes offered on the same day. In accordance with the IEEB, all specified hours of a class must be attended to receive any credit for the class. Partial credit will not be awarded.
