The first day of this district-wide, Hybrid 75-Hour Certified Nurse Aide class is Mandatory Orientation. Students who do not attend Mandatory Orientation will not be allowed to continue the course. The breakdown of class hours is as follows: 30 hours of Lecture (online), 20 hours of Lab (on-site), and 30 hours of clinical (at location to be determined). This is not a self-paced course, students must follow the syllabus and attend all classes in addition to achieving a GPA of 78% or above to pass.
ATTENDANCE: Per state regulations, each nurse aide student must attend a minimum of 75 total hours of class (not including scheduled breaks) to pass the class and receive a certificate of completion. If students do not formally withdraw from the class, the final grade given is an F. Students must attend all classes. Instructors will not make-up missed time with a student (no exceptions).
CLINICAL: Requirements are subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic and federal and/or state proclamations.
UNIFORM: Students must provide own pair of navy blue scrubs, watch with a second hand and clean, non-skid shoes for Clinical.
