Want to be an in-demand babysitter? Parents will be impressed that you are trained to communicate effectively, understand household rules and routines, practice hygiene, perform age-appropriate basic care, make decisions under pressure, and understand and safely respond to the needs of children and infants. You will receive basic first aid and CPR instruction from industry professionals. Delaware County ISU Extension and Outreach staff will lead activities, discussion and hands-on-application of skills. A presentation on Shaken Baby Syndrome is also included. A partnership between Northeast Iowa Community College and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Delaware County developed this training. For ages 10-14 yrs. Please bring a sack lunch.
