Emergency Medical Technician - Waukon Spring 2024

Please read:  • Must have a current CPR card from one of the following agencies, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross CPR for Health Care Providers. The card must be provided to the instructor prior to the first class. This certification must be valid for the duration of the course. • Must be 17 years of age by the first day of class. • Must have health insurance during the time period that they are in this class • You must attend the MANDATORY orientation meeting to attend the class. 1/8/2024. • All EMS students will be required to submit proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for clinical participation. NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION • Textbooks are required and are not included. • $30.00 payable to the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services for processing your certification application. • $50 payable to the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services for their background check. • Approximately $100.00 for student uniforms to be worn during class, labs, clinical and field experiences.
