Work at your own pace, on your own time and master your skills in the short-term Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Competency-Based Education (CBE) program. You’ll use an online platform for the lecture portion of the class that includes videos, reading, assignments and assessments, and complete hands-on welding projects with your instructor in the Welding Lab on campus. The flexibility of this program allows you to reserve booth time that fits with your schedule to develop basic GMAW welding and blueprint reading skills. Welding Lab availability is 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. You’ll be prepared for immediate entry-level employment or continued training in our extended Welding diploma program!
The short-term training program offers tuition assistance for qualifying students. Contact NICC College and Career Coaches Adrianna Johnson at johnsonad@nicc.edu or 844-642-2338 Ext. 3305 and Marcus Ingles at inglesm@nicc.edu or 844-642-2338 Ext. 3314
