Babysitter Basics

Want to be an in-demand babysitter? Parents will be impressed that you are trained to communicate effectively, understand household rules and routines, practice hygiene, perform age-appropriate basic care, make decisions under pressure, understand and safely respond to the needs of children and infants. Participants will receive basic first aid training. Fayette County ISU Extension and Outreach staff will lead activities, discussions and hands-on application of skills. A presentation on Shaken Baby Syndrome is also included. Open to grades 4 - 8. Space is limited. Please bring a sack lunch.
