Ok, spreadsheet users, take the leap from Excel 2013 into Excel 2016! Participants should be Microsoft Excel users interested in taking advantage of new features and learning some helpful hints, shortcuts and tips. We will practice using keyboard shortcuts, pinning recent files, and using split window views. Underutilized features like grouping, text to columns, removing duplicates, show formulas, tracing precedents or dependents and protecting files will also be introduced and discussed.

This 2-hour interactive class covers calculations for overcurrent protection for conductors and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial services, feeders, and branch circuits.  Also covered are the rules for feeder taps and transformer secondary conductors. This class meets Iowa Electrical Examining Board (IEEB), MN Electrical Board and WI Electrical Board requirements for 2 hours of code continuing education.   Additional CEUs may be earned in other classes offered on the same day.  In accordance with the IEEB, all specified hours of a class must be attended to receive any credit for the class. Partial credit will not be awarded.

Think welding isn’t art? Think again! Technology and creativity are joined in this innovative art welding class.  Whether you want to make metal art for a hobby or to sell, this 9-hour class will equip you with basic knowledge and skills to begin the craft.  You will learn to cut out shapes, bend metal, produce quality welds and study various fabrication applications.  And, of course, you will apply these techniques to create a piece of metal art!  Instruction stresses safety so attendance at the safety orientation on the first day of class is mandatory. Students must wear long-sleeved cotton shirts and closed-toe shoes.
